It’s music festival season, which makes us want to sit in the sun with our four legged BFFs, make flower crowns, cut-off and fray our jeans, and wear really cliched festival clothes – hey, they are really cute clothes!
It’s also almost Mother’s Day, so what do you get a free-spirited pup parent in honor of their special day? We’ve rounded up a list of items that will make any dog lover sing with joy.
1. S’well Water Bottle, $36
Any festival veteran will tell you staying hydrated is essential to having a good time, and to us, there’s no better way to drink water than to look at puppers while we’re doing it. This particular bottle that Bark & Co. made in collaboration with S’well will keep your ice water cold for 24hours, so you’re not sippin’ on lukewarm stuff as soon as the night headliners get around to performing.
2. BarkMade Bowl, $6
This is the absolute best bowl for traveling – it’s light, and you can pretty much do anything you want with it. We’re gonna stick it in the freezer overnight and have some cold water ready for our dogs on festival morning.
3. Harry Barker Striped Bed Roll, $64-$96
We like to have two blankets to hit the grass with – one for us and one for our pooch. These doggy beds are perfect for a lunch-time picnic or for when we don’t want to get our Corgi’s floofy butt muddy on the dirty ground. It’s also totally not a pain to walk around with because it has a carrying strap – like a yoga mat, but cooler, because it’s for a pup!
4. I Want To Pet All The Dogs Tote, $22
We will never really get sick of letting everyone know that we want to pet all the dogs, and this tote is kind of the best way of getting that message across. It’s big and durable too, a good bag for carrying an extra change of clothes if you get too sweaty or some extra treats if your pup gets bored with all the hipsters trying too hard.
5. Shoodles, $74
Honestly, everyone’s going to be wearing either those simple black or white leather Vans. Why not present a little poochy pattern on your sneaks to stand out from the crowd? This collection is also a great conversation starter for meeting hotties or other doggy lover friends at your fest.
6. “Woof” Canvas Water Bottle, $21
We will be using this little dude to transfer stuff other than water, most likely. It’s more heavy duty than it looks, too – it holds an entire bottle of wine.
7. Eco-friendly Poop Bags, $10
We really don’t want to be that person asking around for an extra plastic bag while the poop stinks up everyone’s vibe. Luckily, with these eco-friendly (and punny!) poopy bags, we don’t have to be!
8. Canvas Pet Tote, $160
This tote bag screams, “I treat my dog like royalty, but I’m not weird about it.” It’s made with our pup’s comfort in mind first and foremost – a sturdy foot pad and scoop that’s comfy around her neck.
9. Flowers Bouquet, $16
Chances are our pups are going to want to chew on our flower crowns anyway, so why not give them some of their own one-of-a-kind flower toys to rip to shreds? Also, these flower toys are so adorable, we’re kind of scared we’re going to want to steal them for our flower crowns.
10. Butterfly, $10
A stash of toys for our pups that contain flowers and butterflies is the stuff of our festival dreams.
11. Rope Flower, $13
Here’s a more durable flower toy for those ambitious, teethy pups who take one look at a stuffed animal and annihilate it forever.
12. BarkFest, Starting at $40
This is better than Coachella because it’s Coachella for dogs and boasts a canine lineup of celebrity dogs that is flat out pawesome. The big bash takes place Sunday, May 22 at Hudson River Park’s Pier 97 in NYC from 2-8 PM.
13. Jelly Wellies Classic Rain Coat, $20
OK, we have to talk about the fact that it might start crying from the sky exactly right before your favorite band comes on. And we know our pups hate getting wet – not to mention they pile on that extra excellent wet dog smell when they do. Enter in the best rain coat ever for our poochies. It’s cute, and it’ll make your pup feel like a million bucks.
14. Tiny Frenchie Studs, $48
We’ve already decided these are going to twinkle as they stick out from our braids. These little Frenchies come in both brass and silver.
15. Verameat Terrier French Love Necklace, $180
Um yes please to the matching giant Frenchie necklace hand-crafted in New York. You can choose the face of either a Frenchie or a Boston Terrier.
Packing for spring festivals is an ongoing process, and we’ve found nearly everything we need at the BarkShop… no bones about it!
